    • Birth and Baptism confirmed from original Parish Record of St Mary Le Strand. Parents names given as Benjamin Christian Smith and Elizabeth Ferrch (not clear) Smith, living at Charles St Court Garden, occcupation Stationer.

      1841 census aged 12 at home with father and brother Montague in Catherine Street. Refered to as Frederick.

      Can not find after that, although there are Frederick Smiths/William Smiths etc.

      There is a Frederick Smythson on the electoral roll owning property for the years:
      1895 133 New Bond Street (Frank had shops at 60, 113 & 133 New Bond Street) dwelling house, home address as same.

      So a Frederick Smythson owned the building that Frank had one of his shops in and in 1903 onwards was living at 1 Harper Street, which was (his brother) Marcus Alfred's house until his death in 1896
      1901 census for 133 New Bond Street. Building in occupation but not inhabited on night of census!

      Outgoing passenger list 8 March 1902 from Southampton to Las Palmas on board Arundel Castle and incoming list to Southampton from Madeira 29 March 1902 onboard Kildonan Castle. Listed as unmarried english male, Mr F Smythson.
